Commonwealth Games are held every four years at the international level. Athletes from all around the world participate in various games. Commonwealth games were started back then in 1930 (except for the second world war period), and ever since, every four years tenure the sports are held. Commonwealth Games are held in various cities around the world. This year, in 2022, the commonwealth games were held in Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, England. The games lasted from 26th July to 8th August 2022, India was representing itself for the 18th time.

With 61 medals in total out of which 22 gold, 16 silver, and 23 bronze, India ranks at the fourth position in the world. India has given the best national title for four sports: Badminton, Wrestling, Table Tennis, and Weightlifting, and the second best nation in Boxing. In India, around 200 Indian athletes participated in 16 different sports.
Australia has the highest number of gold making it place first in the commonwealth games, followed by England, Canada, India, and New Zealand.
